The Bucks County Chiropractic Society, since its founding in 1966, has had and continues to have a profound positive effect on the public at large throughout the county with legislative activity as a priority. It is imperative that we maintain a vital on-going link with those in the legislative community so that the integrity of the profession is never compromised.
Accordingly, on Sunday October 6, 2002, the BCCS held its Legislative Dinner at the Cock N Bull Restaurant in Lahaska. It was eminently successful and well attended by an excess of ninety people, representing both members of the Chiropractic profession and the legislature.
BCCS once again established upon the legislators in attendance a profound, positive impact for future legislation in the Commonwealth.
The society is most appreciative of the Bucks and Eastern Montgomery County D.C.s who helped make the occasion very special and quite successful.

NATIONAL CHIROPRACTIC LEGAL FUND
Once again political medicine and their allies are attempting to disenfranchise the D.C., and the patients whom we serve, through their discriminatory reimbursement policies. Both the Department of Health & Human Services Center for Medicare & Medicade Services (CMS), along with Trigon Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Virginia seek to emasculate the chiropractic physician.
The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has established the National Chiropractic Legal Action Fund (NCLAF) to oppose these politically motivated activities.
This is serious litigation. Make no mistake about it. If our opponents in political medicine prevail, the delivery of chiropractic health care at all levels federal, state, as well as private healthcare programs will be adversely affected for decades to come.
This agenda by political medicine is abhorrent and immoral it shall not be tolerated.
Accordingly, the BCCS Board of Directors has voted unanimously to support the ACAs effort, through the NCLAF, by contributing $1,000 to help underwrite their litigation. We urge each and every D.C. to contribute as well. Send your contributions to NCLAF, P.O. Box 75359, Baltimore, MD 21275.
